As an information professional my mission is to encourage success by connecting patrons with information and tools to support their learning needs. My work experience has given me the opportunity to put my mission into action. Whether it's teaching a class, providing quality reference help, or managing course reserves, my goal is to make the experience of users my top priority.
Welcome to my portfolio. Here you'll find information on my experience and coursework while completing my MLIS ('14) at the University of Washington iSchool. You will also find information related to my previous work as a paraprofessional in academic libraries. In my recent position as a reference and instruction graduate assistant at the UW Libraries I'm was able to bring my public service and academic library experience to my job while gaining professional level experience teaching and assessing information literacy classes. I plan to bring my varied experience to an academic library where I can build strong relationships with students and faculty and become an active participant in the campus community.
